Ancient Canvases

Our handcrafted canvases fall into two categories: on one hand, meticulous reproductions of antique prints that, based on the latest geographical discoveries, recreate the boundaries and shapes of the known world; on the other, magnificent perspective views of Italian and European cities, small cartographic and artistic gems that transport us back in time.

On this page, you can admire antique planispheres designed by the finest geographical workshops of past centuries, inspired by the adventurous exploits of 16th, 17th, and 18th-century explorers. You will also find some exemplary maps of our country, sometimes depicted in extremely fascinating forms and styles.

The printing of these subjects is carried out using zinc plates and a hand press, which gives the products one of their main and unmistakable qualities: the engraving. Everything is embellished by the use of pure cotton paper and is combined with mounting on a canvas of the same material.
