The Origins
The Zoffoli story began in 1949, in the heart of Rimini, from Italo Zoffoli's passion for wood, geography, and antique maps. In his artisan workshop, alongside his first lathe-turned pieces, hand-crafted and decorated globes began to take shape.
From that intuition, a family story was born, passed down from generation to
generation and grown over time without ever losing the bond with its origins.
The invention of the bar globe
Between the fifties and the sixties, Italo Zoffoli transformed the globe into something never seen before: an elegant bar cabinet capable of storing bottles and glasses.
An original idea that in 1963 earned him the prestigious Golden Lathe (Tornio d’Oro), awarded by the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, and which paved the way for the company’s international success.
Even today, the globe bar represents one of Zoffoli’s most iconic creations: a functional, decorative, and instantly recognizable object.
Italian craftsmanship, yesterday as today

From the selection of materials to the creation of the sphere, from the application of the cartography to the finishing touches, every stage is carefully monitored.
Many processes are still carried out by hand by our artisans, making each creation unique in its small details. New technologies help us perfect our work, but they do not replace what has always distinguished Zoffoli: the care of the people who create every product.
